In addition, Doug is playing a nylon string electric (eclectic!) and we’re using the old recording system, so just 8 tracks total.\u00a0 As all good practice tapes should, it starts off with “Duct Tape and Super Glue” and then breaks into a New Hit Single ™ tentatively titled “Homerotica II” before some saxomophoney goodness.\u00a0 Then we do two takes of the Actual New Hit Single ™, “I Used to Be Young” b\/w “I Used to Be Younger”.\u00a0 It’s got the Metersey Sound, just missing some Hammond there.<\/p>\n
Then there’s the 117-minute rendering of “Stuck Inside of Mobile” which sounds pretty good frankly.\u00a0 Then a JJWalker song and two takes of Dead Flowers, the second of which you’ll want to catch.\u00a0 Wrapped up by a harptastical Lazy River.<\/p>\n
